A brighter path together
We are dedicated to creating a bridge of possibility by partnering individuals with exceptional canines.
We are Sunrise Service Dogs
We understand and deeply empathize with the overwhelming demand for exceptional dogs to support individuals with disabilities. We are dedicated to serving a diverse range of individuals, including Veterans, civilians, and children. We help people living with conditions like PTSD, mild psychiatric challenges, mobility limitations, Autism, and intellectual disabilities. We are acutely aware of the significance of these needs and remain committed to doing our best to fulfill them.
And we are glad you’re here!
Our service dog hopefuls need volunteers like you to provide them with the head start that allows them to significantly impact the lives of others. Become a puppy raiser today!
The bond between a dog and a human is transformative. We train dogs and humans in partnership to provide service to individuals with a disability and those providing supportive services in our communities.
Scientific studies confirm the transformative nature of the human-canine bond, and as a result, animal-assisted interventions have grown dramatically. Sunrise Service Dogs trains dogs for veterans, civilians, and children in the following areas:
Mobility & Physical Assistance
Trained to assist people with mobility needs, these dogs learn to open doors, pick up items, and so much more.
Psychiatric Support
Dogs are trained to interrupt common symptoms or body language through deep pressure therapy and other interrupting tasks. Some of these conditions may include PTSD, Autism, anxiety, or depression.
Medical Alert
Our dog trainers employ the method of scent training to teach dogs how to accurately detect fluctuations in saliva and sweat.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, & INCLUSION
statement of principle & practice
We value the visible and invisible qualities that make you who you are.
We welcome the unique perspectives and experiences you bring to advance our mission and progress our programs and services to individuals with a disability and those serving within the mental health spaces.
We believe that each Sunrise Service Dogs community member, donor, volunteer, advocate, and employee must have equal access to solving the problems in our communities.
We strive to include diversity, equity, and inclusion practices at the center of our daily work, and we commit to using these practices within our business and our communities.
Please join us in embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion for every person in every community.
